Do you want to ensure stable and efficient production in an industrial environment in central Linköping? We are now looking for an engaged and solution-oriented maintenance mechanic who wants to become an important part of our maintenance team.

As a maintenance mechanic, you play a central role in ensuring high operational reliability and availability of our production equipment. The role involves close collaboration with production, where you contribute to preventing downtime, improving plant efficiency, and creating a safe and well-functioning work environment.

You will become part of a team that actively works with improvement initiatives and daily management, with safety, quality, and collaboration in focus. In this role, you will also be the maintenance group's specialist in troubleshooting. You are expected to take a leading role in identifying, analyzing, and solving complex technical problems, as well as contributing your expertise to develop working methods and strengthen the group's collective competence in the area. You will become the team's obvious expert in troubleshooting and are expected to drive root cause analysis and long-term solutions to minimize downtime and increase plant reliability.

In the role of maintenance mechanic, you will among other things:

  • Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize production equipment and technical systems.
  • Carry out tool changes and set up and tune machines.
  • Participate in daily management meetings and actively contribute to improvement work.
  • Document performed work in the maintenance system Mainter.
  • Work according to current safety regulations and procedures.
  • Contribute to order and cleanliness as well as the development of 5S work.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and drive long-term improvement measures to prevent recurring operational disruptions.

About you

We are looking for you who have experience in mechanical maintenance within industry or production and who thrive in a business with a high pace and significant personal responsibility.

You have a high school education in industry, mechanics, electrical, maintenance, or equivalent, as well as substantial experience in mechanical maintenance in industrial operations. You have excellent ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems in production equipment and feel confident in analyzing complex technical problems and finding long-term sustainable solutions.

Furthermore, you have experience working in maintenance systems and are accustomed to documenting and following up on performed work. To succeed in the role, you have basic knowledge in electrical, troubleshooting, and installation, as well as good ability to read and interpret technical drawings. You are also a proficient computer user and are proficient in Swedish in both speech and writing.

As a person, you are solution-oriented, analytical, and proactive. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and production. You are flexible and driven by finding root causes to problems and creating long-term improvements that contribute to a stable and efficient operation.

It is meritorious if you have post-secondary education in maintenance technology, production technology, electrical, or mechanics. If you also have experience with PLC, hydraulics, welding, or machining, we see this as a great advantage. We also value experience with LEAN, TPM, 5S, or other structured improvement work. If you hold forklift and crane licenses as well as certificates for hot work, this is also meritorious.
